Rachel joined Holdens in 2005 after receiving a first class honours degree in Law and Criminology. She qualified as a Solicitor in 2007 and specialises in criminal defence work throughout Cumbria and North Lancashire. Her work includes representation in the Magistrates Court and assistance in relation to serious matters including drugs offences, sexual offences and matters of serious violence in the Crown Court. Rachel also has significant experience and expertise in advising and providing representation in connection with road traffic related offences.

In addition to criminal defence work Rachel also prosecutes for the Health & Safety Executive.

In her spare time Rachel enjoys a range of outdoor pursuits in the Lake District, most recently training as a Microlight pilot.
