John has been a partner at Holdens since 2000 when he joined the firm after 14 years as a Partner at Oglethorpes. He has been qualified since 1981 and has specialised in Criminal Defence since becoming a Duty Solicitor in 1984. He has represented clients, both privately and publicly funded, throughout Northern England and the South East, both in Courts and Police Stations, including Premiership footballers, Country Landowners and Professional Business People.

All Criminal matters are expertly handled by John, as cost effectively as possible. John has particular Professional interests in Motoring, Wildlife Crime and Health and Safety and he recently represented the HSE in a successful high profile case in the House of Lords. John heads the Health and Safety Department at Holdens who are proud to be one of only a few firms appointed by the HSE as Solicitor agents in England.

John is available to assist out of hours when necessary which limits his spare time and interests. When time allows, he enjoys Walking, Sport, Travel, Live Entertainment and after Dinner Speaking.
